East Buchanan Community School District - Special Board Meeting Minutes – June 18, 2026
Call to Order- President Andy Sperfslage called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. The board recited the East Buchanan Mission Statement. Board members present were Andrew Maas, Andy Sperfslage, and Heather Steffens. Board member Tonishia Dockstader attended via phone. Board member Troy Tempus was absent. Administrative staff attending was Superintendent Kory Kelchen. Motion carried with all ayes unless noted otherwise.
Approve Agenda – Motion by Maas, second by Steffens to approve the agenda as presented.
Resolution Approving Revenue Purpose Statement, Ordering an Election on a Revenue Purpose Statement to Authorize Expenditures From Revenue Received From the State Secure an Advanced Vision for Education Fund, and Ordering the Publication of a Notice of Election– Motion by Dockstader, second by Steffens to approve the resolution as presented
Resolution Fixing Date for a Hearing on the Proposed Issuance of Approximately $6,300,000 School Infrastructure Sales, Services and Use Tax Revenue Bonds – Motion by Steffens, second by Maas to approve the resolution as presented.
Baseball/Softball Sound System – Motion by Maas, second by Steffens to approve the purchase of a sound system for baseball/softball up to $11,000 after receiving a second quote.
Adjourn – Motion by Steffens, second by Maas to adjourn the meeting at 4:17 pm.
